January 2022 Newsletter

Does this Newsletter look a little different?
Greetings Earthians! Our Newsletter this month will be short and sweet. We are taking the month off from original, new articles and we hope you understand:
Our January Newsletter is prepared during December. As any of you who are in school or have been through school know, December is a busy month of finals, papers, and projects. All of our writers are active students and needed to focus on their education.
We will still be active on our social media accounts and will be back with new articles in February!
In the meantime, make sure to check out our Year in Review and visit some of your favorite archived newsletters!

With a diameter of around 115,000 light-years, this bright spiral galaxy is a similar size to our own galaxy (the Milky Way) and was discovered in 1784 by the German-British astronomer William Herschel.” -NASA
POINT YOUR CAMERAS
We are building a Photo Gallery page on our website! This page will consist only of pictures taken by our team and readers like you! If you have photos of nature, outdoor adventures, animals, the sky, or anything else Earth related, SEND THEM OUR WAY! We will give you credit the way you wish. We’ll even help you put a watermark on your images if you like! Just email your images to earthianscare@gmail.com.

SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS AND OPERATIONS
As we mentioned in our opening, all of our writers are active students. They are dedicated volunteers who produce inspiring and interesting articles to share with you and support Earthians Care’s mission. We want to be able to give back and support their educational and career pursuits, but we can’t do this without your support. Which is why we are asking that you please consider making a financial gift to our Earthians Care Scholarship Fund. All gifts will go directly to Scholarships for our writers. Head to The Team page to learn more about the youth you will be supporting!
We also have an Earthians Care Operations Fund running. Financial Gifts to this fund will go directly to our operating costs which our outlined here. No funds go towards paying a team member. All team members are volunteers and do not receive financial compensation.
We are not a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3), meaning that your gifts are not tax deductible. However, we are working to receive a 501(c)(3) designation and a gift to our Operations Fund would help us achieve this!

YEAR IN REVIEW
WOW! A year has come and gone. I am so proud to be the President of Earthians Care and Editor of this newsletter. Why? Because I have an amazing team that inspires me and hopefully you. We are a small but mighty team, spread out across the globe, with different backgrounds but one common goal: To protect and support the planet (and her inhabitants) we call home and love so much. The Earthians Care team is incredible: they are in school, have jobs, other interests, yet they make the time to do research, write articles, and distribute our work. This organization has been around for 13 years, but these past 20 months have been the most successful and fulfilling in Earthians Care history. THANK YOU to our readers and supporters. To my team, you rock and this wouldn’t be possible without you.
Please enjoy our Year in Review. One article is highlighted from each of our past 12 publications. There are so many more I could have included. Luckily, you can find them all in our Archives on the website navigation banner.
All of our writers are recognized below, but one important team member is not—Amy Craig our Branding and Marketing Director is the mastermind behind all the graphics you see below.
Happy end of the year! And we’ll see you in 2022!
